Mr. González graduated as a JD from the University of Costa Rica in 1991 and then obtained a joint Master in Law and Business at Northwestern University School of Law and the Kellogg School of Management, in 2005.

He has been practicing law for 17 years and is co-founded Gonzalez & Uribe, in 2000 were he heads the Structured Products Department. He currently represents Fortune 500 companies and has been involved in cross border transactions under rule 144A and Regulation S of the US Securities Act as well as in complex cross border real estate transactions.

In 2002, Mr. González accepted a position to join the Pacheco Administration in Costa Rica, and became Deputy Minister of Finance.  The Treasury Department, the Internal Revenue Service and the Customs Authority, reported directly to him while in office.

Mr. González  started 3 real estate companies with a region wide presence in Latin America, all of which he has chaired since their incorporation:

-Stewart Title Latin America, with offices in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

-Century 21 Central America, which holds the exclusive master franchise rights of Century 21 for 7 countries in Central America, including Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Belize.

-Sotheby’s International Realty - Mexico, which holds the exclusive master franchise rights of Sotheby’ International Realty for Mexico.
